| Conference Organizer Bay Area Hackmeet 200 | New College of San Francisco April 2007 - October 2007 Organized conference to spread open source and technology skills among activists on the West Coast; led visioning process to draft conference goals and mission; secured speakers; organized conference logistics: secured space, transportation, lunch, facilities; facilitated targeted outreach plan; launched www.hackmeet.org; Topics include: drupal, gimp, installing linux, anycast and tor.

| Council Intern City Council of Oakland | City Hall, City of Oakland September 2005–October 2006 Researched cost effectiveness and viability of the polystyrene ban, aided in outreach and secured speakers for public hearing, organized conference on neighborhood development, assisted in community outreach to business owners and residents of the Laurel neighborhood, conducted regional research on the transient occupancy tax, drafted a city resolution against Iraq war and secured speakers for issue panels.
